Applications Now Open for Livestock Drought Relief

Applications are now open for the 2023 Canada-Alberta Drought Livestock Assistance program, providing livestock producers with up to $165 million to maintain breeding herds. The governments of Alberta and Canada are partnering on the 2023 Canada-Alberta Drought Livestock Assistance program to support livestock producers facing extraordinary costs due to this year’s dry conditions. Intake Period for Agricultural Clean Technology Program Closes June 22

There has been great demand for this program that aims to create an enabling environment for the development and adoption of clean technology that will help drive the changes required to achieve a low-carbon economy and promote sustainable growth. Projects will be assessed and prioritized based on highest GHG emission reductions, including methane and fertilizer reductions.
