The On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF) will open for applications on Monday, February 13, 2023.
The Fund provides financial support to help producers implement on-farm Beneficial Management Practices (BMPs), specifically in the areas of:
- nitrogen management
- cover cropping
- rotational grazing practices
These practices also provide other environmental benefits, such as improved biodiversity and soil health.
The Fund is part of the Government of Canada's Agricultural Climate Solutions initiative, which falls under the Natural Climate Solutions Fund, a program managed by Natural Resources Canada, Environment and Climate Change Canada, and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.
To assist producers with adopting new BMPs, the program offers producers resources to support BMP implementation and provide BMP design recommendations.
Visit OFCAF - RDAR to submit your application and to access the resources, including instructional webinars, to help with your submission.
