Product Information

The updated HBC post base is a post-installed saddle for connecting posts to wood in applications such as patio covers, deck trellises and pergolas. It offers the same features as the redesigned RCPS, but in a half-base design.

  • Hot-dipped galvanization provides additional corrosion protection
  • Chamfered corners create a sleeker looking protection
  • Steel embossments provide added strength 
  • Drainage outlets help reduce the possibility of water accumulation that can potentially rot the post 
  • 14 gauge steel
  • 3-9/16" x 3-1/4" x 2-1/4
  • Install using nails: 16d = 0.162" dia. x 3-1/2" long
  • Not recommended for non-top supported installations, such as fences or unbraced carports
  • Meets the intent of 9.23.6.2.1 of the National Building Code of Canada 2015 for resisting uplift and lateral movement
