Product Information

Thread seal tape is a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) film cut to specified widths for use in sealing pipe threads. Thread tape is appropriate for use on tapered threads, where the sealing force is a wedge action. Yellow – used on NPT threads 1/2 inch to 2 inch, often labeled "gas tape".

Manufactured especially for natural gas, propane, butane, water, oil and chemical lines. Heavier than white tape with density of 1.35-1.50 grams/cubic centimeter. 4 mils thick. Complies with MIL-T-22230A (ASG), UL 31 RO, AGA 3226 and CAN/ULC-S642
