UFA Celebrates Saskatchewan Grand Openings

UFA marked the official openings of the Yorkton and Weyburn UFA Petroleum Agencies with a Grand Opening Celebration in each location this week. It was a festive environment in each city as our celebrations complemented the local Summer Fairs, 4-H Parades and Chuckwagon Races happening this week.

"We now have five locations in Saskatchewan that include Swift Current, Kindersley, Macklin and most recently, Weyburn and Yorkton. With the iconic UFA orange petroleum locations that are starting to mark southern Saskatchewan's main agribusiness and industrial thoroughfares, we are thrilled to bring another choice for people filling their tanks," remarked Don Smith, UFA Vice President Petroleum & Innovation during the ceremonies.

The new agencies are both in prime locations offering easy access to local residents who can also take advantage of the proximity to nearby agribusiness partners. The expansion of our petroleum network is part of a concerted strategy to grow from being an Alberta-focused fuel and agribusiness co-operative to a western-Canadian service leader. With the welcoming reaction UFA has received from the province of Saskatchewan, we are excited about what this means for everyone, most importantly those in the agricultural sector.

The next opening we'll be celebrating in Saskatchewan is Corman Park, close to Saskatoon, where construction is well underway with an anticipated opening in early 2024. We look forward to sharing even more expansion news in the near future.

Don was joined by UFA Board Chair, Kevin Hoppins and UFA President and CEO, Scott Bolton in Saskatchewan who welcomed and thanked local government officials in attendance, highlighted the product and service advantages UFA has brought to our members and customers and provided a final thank you to the UFA team that was instrumental in advancing these expansion projects from initial ground-breaking only 14 months ago to the successful locations they are today serving the communities of Weyburn and Yorkton.
