As a locally owned and operated co-operative, UFA is committed to being a trusted and reliable supplier of petroleum, crop, livestock, building products and services in the communities we serve. Part of this commitment includes tailoring our offerings to match the needs of each individual community while ensuring profitability for our co-operative and members.
Accordingly, UFA has made the business decision that effective March 31, 2023, the Eckville UFA Cardlock will transition to an unmanned location. Daryl and Brenda Matthews will remain as Agents in Eckville, in addition to Sylvan Lake and Rocky Mountain House.
Products that the Eckville community has come to expect from the Cardlock will still be available. Twenty-four-hour cardlock service, as well as fuel and lubricant delivery, will still be available to the Eckville area. For packaged goods (such as lubricants) and accessories, members and customers are being directed to visit the Sylvan Lake and Rocky Mountain House Cardlocks, which are in close proximity. Members and customers have the option to pay their bills through these locations, at their financial institution or online, if they are set up for online banking. There will also be a mail slot at the Eckville Cardlock for submitting payments.
This decision was made with careful consideration and enforces our commitment to the well-being of our co-operative. UFA Community Investment will continue to support local events in the Eckville area.
